My Husband built me this beautiful bench for our front entrance which I painted in a white wash finish.
It turned out so lovely, I can't wait to show you the whole entrance makeover!
For the white wash paint:
1 cup paint
2 cups water
Brush paint on, and wipe with clean dry cloth to desired look.
Mine took 2 light coats and lot's of wiping off because I still wanted some wood colour to show :)

ReplyDeletegreat idea! i've been wanting to do a DIY on a piece of furniture for awhile now.
ReplyDeletealso, i realized the link behind my blog button is broken- well it goes to my flickr page instead of my blog :( that's definitely my fault, but i'm not quite sure how to fix it at the moment. do you know? thanks!
Oh, swoon! I always find side of the road furniture or thrifting finds and refinish them–but to make your own. How sweet.
