White Wash Bench

My Husband built me this beautiful bench for our front entrance which I painted in a white wash finish.
It turned out so lovely, I can't wait to show you the whole entrance makeover!
For the white wash paint:
1 cup paint
2 cups water
Brush paint on, and wipe with clean dry cloth to desired look.
Mine took 2 light coats and lot's of wiping off because I still wanted some wood colour to show :)

  1. I love it! I want exactly the same thing for my front covered porch. Showing to my husband immediately. By the way, your wedding pics in the post below are stunning! If I was getting married now I would copy your every detail!! Happy Anniversary!

  2. how neat! i love that the rustic look, who knew white wash was that easy?

  7. great idea! i've been wanting to do a DIY on a piece of furniture for awhile now.

also, i realized the link behind my blog button is broken- well it goes to my flickr page instead of my blog :( that's definitely my fault, but i'm not quite sure how to fix it at the moment. do you know? thanks!

  8. Oh, swoon! I always find side of the road furniture or thrifting finds and refinish them–but to make your own. How sweet.
