I had a gorgeous bouquet on the table last week! I Love this time of year when the stores are filled with spring flowers.

Mr. Mak has taken his first steps! Only about 4, and he's still not into it. He's always on the go, and must know that he'll get around quicker crawling!

 Found these sweet Melmac dishes at a local Vintage store yesterday, and thought they would work perfect for Mak.  Poor guy get's a floral dish instead of dinosaurs!!! hehe 

 I've finally gotten around to mailing off some wedding invites. I've done it the cheap way and just bought cards instead of spending copious hours and money making them!  I mean it's a wedding invite how  fancy does it have to be?? Anyways I think these are pretty, and actually considering I bought them before choosing a colour scheme, seeing the colours now, they are the perfect! (Because it's online I've whited out some info in the card and that's why the spacing is funny)

My new thrift store find, Love it!  I'm considering painting it, but I don't know, the Red is so vibrant! What do you think?

Macaroons

I haven't been eating sugar or sweets lately, but the other night I caved in and made some Macaroons. I saw these on a blog post by skinnytaste and just had to make them.  Since I always do something wrong the first time I bake anything I think I over whipped them, and over baked them. They still turned out really good though. I highly recommend you make some, and they are only 30 calories each! My plain rice crackers have more calories then that! 

I also wanted you show you the DIY pendant lamp I made. In my past post I showed the link, but I've finally gotten around to making one.  It was super easy, but time consuming! I'm going to make another for my craft/office room, but I will cut the pieces thinner and add more of them.

yay it's friday!

Yay Thursday. Today Mak and I have a play date with our friends. We all have children pretty close in age, and we get together once a week for fun times!

Whaling Station Bay

We went on a little adventure this weekend, and we've found the beach we are going to get married on! Now the only problem is the tide! Of course we've decided to get married at 2 and that's when high tide is...  ohh well I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that there will be enough beach for us to stand on!

Yay I'm happy to tell you that a local boutique is carrying my dolls! I've also started making bibs, which I can design for boys and girls. Here's a peek at my first one.

DIY pendant light

I found this very cool DIY pendant light the other night. I think it's so pretty, and i'm going to try to make one for my craft/office room. The link for how to make it is here.  It can be made for under $15 which is the best part! You need to have an Ikea handy, or like me find another store because we have no Ikea here on the island.
